The BID flow is structured as follow:

  • The exchange of the contract signed and confirmed.
  • The upload, by the artist, of the demo in a suitable format for the distribution or for the mastering (in according with the request of the label).
  • The distribution of the demo by the label, with Demosend distribution (in this case artist and label have automatic payment and statements, according with the percentage of the bid) or with other distributions out of Demosend.

DISTRIBUTION

After the deletion with the previous distributor, you will be able to distribute your music with Demosend. Demosend has no liability in the event that one or more stores does not accept the music distribuited by Demosend due to an error in the previously catalogue deletion. You can use any other distribution service to sell your music on the not active stores on Demosend, if this does not violate any other third parties rights conditions on which Demosend is not responsible. You have these forms also available here: Beatport, Traxsource and What People Play.

Can you grant me that my music will be distributed on every store I selected?

No. Like any other situation regarding distribution, the stores decide which product to buy and offer. Usually almost everything is offered on different stores but there is no guarantee. It is the store itself that decides to sell or not your music; Demosend has no liability for the store’s choiches. Please take note of the fact that Demosend will not refund you if one or more store does not publish your music.

How long does it take until my release appears in the stores?

Between one day and six weeks, that depends on the stores. We recommend to put the release date 4-6 weeks behind the date on which you publish your release at Demosend. By this it is assured that your release will become available in all stores simultaneously.

iTunes is the only store that does official product links, these can be created via iTunes linkmaker. Releases can also be shared directly from the iTunes store on Twitter and Facebook.

You can update these elements via the Beatport online jotforms: Artist or Label.

How can I get a biography on my iTunes/Spotify page?

Artist biographies are exclusively imported from AllMusic. A band/artist profile would have be set up with AllMusic. Once the profile is complete the data will be available in the Spotify/iTunes client.
On Spotify, artists can also get their artist page verified and upload a picture. Please look through Spotify’s frequently asked questions or reach out to customer support through the community if you have any additional questions.

How do I submit/amend my biography information on the various stores?

Many stores, including iTunes and Spotify, use Rovi’s AllMusic database as the source of their biography information. In order to submit your release for consideration, please visit the AllMusic website. Allow plenty of lead time to ensure they have a chance to review your submission prior to release.

When my royalties will be updated?

The royalties are updated on quarterly basis:

Where I can see my distribution stats?

You can see your stats on the STATS page of your account, clicking STATS button from your menu. On the stats page you have 2 types of statistics: PLAYS and INCOMES.

What are the PLAYS STATS?

The Plays statistics are daily reports that are provided by some stores (7Digital, Amazon.com, Apple Music, Beatport, Deezer, eMusic, Google Play Music, iTunes, Juno, Qobuz, RDIO, Spotify, Tidal, VirginMega and Xbox Music) and are referred to the streaming and download numbers of your distributed tracks. Both Artist and Label can see the Plays stats if the track was bidded on Demosend and distributed with Demosend Distribution; only Label can see this stats if the track was uploaded only for Demosend Distribution. You can also select the period of stats to see and download the data in a csv file.

Please keep in mind that this page displays consolidated daily reports provided by a few stores only and that these tools are for statistical purpose only, in order to help you estimating your potential sales regularly. They can differ from the royalty reports for many reasons, such as incomplete transactions, failed downloads and delayed updates from the relevant services.

What are the INCOMES STATS?

The Incomes statistics are updated on quarterly basis and are referred to the royalties earned from streaming and download of your distributed tracks on stores. You can also select the period of stats to see and download the data in a csv file.

Why there is a difference between the Plays Stats and Incomes Stats?

Plays Stats report are provisional stats and may be different from the real royalties earned. Also the royalties are on quarterly basis. There may be a delay in the updating of the daily sales report and royalties stats. Demosend has no liability for a delay on the update due to a delay on the transfer of information from the stores.

My music has been sold on stores but I cannot see the sale on Plays Stats.

Plays Stats report may have some delay on the updating due to a delay on the transfer of information from the stores.

Come posso selezionarli?

Vengono compresse o trasformate in mp3?
